Chelsea striker Drogba has been strongly linked with a transfer away from Stamford Bridge for several months now, and he is widely expected to move on to pastures new in the summer.
The two favourites for his signature are San Siro outfits Milan and Inter, and former Serie A star Gianluca Vialli claimed a few days ago that Drogba would be signing for one of them.
However Moratti has tried to dampen all the speculation regarding Inter’s interest.
“We are happy with our attack,” the oil tycoon told Domenica Sportiva following Inter’s 2-0 win over Fiorentina last night.
“Adriano will return. Regarding Drogba, he is not part of our plans at this hour.”
A possible transfer to Inter could hinge on whether former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho replaces Roberto Mancini as coach at the end of the season.
If Mourinho does take over the reigns, then it is expected that Drogba will also pack his bags for the Italian fashion capital.
